Bert and Kim’s wedding was just perfect! Right before reaching the location of their first look the rain let up and the sun came out. When I tell you this first look was the sweetest thing… The way Bert looked at Kim when he turned around and how he touched her dress and face so delicately… I am smiling from ear to ear just thinking about it. The ceremony took everyone’s breath away. It included a tribute to the late Pastor Bert Ray that left not a single dry eye in the building. His voice starting coming through the speaker as a recording of all his voicemails to Kim played; him greeting her warmly, him telling on Bert (lol), he sang a song… it was like he was in the room with us. Kim also commissioned a painting of Pastor Ray that was placed next to Bert during the ceremony. The couple took communion and ministers gathered around to pray for them. Truly a beautiful ceremony to witness. Afterwards, everyone headed over to the reception that was situated at the balcony of the museum. The view was stunning! The couple shared their first dance, then later Kim shared a dance with her father and Bert with his mother. Throughout the night the newlyweds and their guests beamed with joy and I was lucky enough to be there to witness it all. Kim and Bert, thank you for being amazing humans and I wish you both all the joy and happiness in the world!
